Emergency Assistance: How May We Help?

IOOV Food Pantry and Emergency Services

We recognize the systemic barriers and disparities that disproportionately affect marginalized communities, including LGBTQ+ individuals of color. Challenges such as food insecurity, unemployment, and lack of access to emergency resources are significant. The Food Pantry and Emergency Services program ensures immediate support for these communities, fostering resilience and well-being during times of need.

In Our Own Voices (IOOV) provides a dedicated Food Pantry and Emergency Services program to support all marginalized community members in the seven counties that we serve, with a particular focus on LGBTQ+ individuals, especially LGBTQ+ BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color). These services address food insecurity and urgent needs with dignity and respect.

Available Services:

  • Food Pantry: Offers culturally appropriate and nutritious food items.
  • Emergency Services: Provides assistance with urgent needs such as hygiene products, clothing, transportation, and referrals to housing or financial resources.

Operating Times:

  • Food Pantry Hours: Available Monday-Friday 10:00am - 3:00pm (or by appointment).
  • Emergency Services: Available Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • After-Hours Support: Emergency assistance is available by appointment for critical situations.

Community members are encouraged to call ahead to confirm availability and ensure their needs can be met. IOOV remains committed to creating a safe, affirming environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
